Owner-Only Access

Only the organization owner can access billing settings. Team members and admins cannot view or modify subscription details. If you need to make changes, contact your organization owner.

2

Pricing Tiers

Your pricing tier determines what you pay for your plan. Tiers are assigned when you first subscribe to a paid plan and are based on when you signed up for WorkCentral.

TierHow AcquiredDiscountDuration
BetaSign up during beta period100% off yearly plans (first year free)1 year, then transitions to Founder
FounderSign up during founder period, or beta expires50% off yearly plans for lifePermanent (unless you downgrade to Free)
StandardDefault after founder period endsNo discountN/A

Yearly Billing Only

Tier discounts only apply to yearly billing. Monthly billing is always the standard price regardless of your pricing tier. To maximize your savings as a Beta or Founder user, choose yearly billing.

What Founders and Beta Users Pay

PlanStandard (Yearly)Founder (Yearly)Beta (Yearly, 1st Year)
Professional$180/yr$90/yr$0/yr
Business$360/yr$180/yr$0/yr

Founder & Beta Pricing Is Permanent — Until You Leave

If you downgrade to the Free plan, your Founder or Beta pricing tier is permanently revoked. Even if you resubscribe later, you'll pay the Standard price. This cannot be undone — make sure you want to leave before downgrading.

3

Platform Fees

When clients pay invoices online via Stripe, WorkCentral charges a small platform fee in addition to Stripe's standard processing fees. Higher plans have lower platform fees.

PlanPlatform FeeExample on $1,000 Invoice
Free1.5%$15.00
Professional0.75%$7.50
Business0.25%$2.50

Founder & Beta Variants

Founder and Beta variants of Professional and Business plans receive the same reduced platform fee rates as their base plans. For example, a Professional Founder user pays the same 0.75% fee as a standard Professional user.

4

Upgrading Your Plan

Upgrading gives you immediate access to higher limits and additional features. Only the organization owner can upgrade.

1

Go to Settings → Billing

Navigate to your billing settings from the main settings page.

2

Select your new plan

Choose Professional or Business. You'll see a preview of the price based on your pricing tier and billing period.

3

Complete checkout via Stripe

You'll be redirected to a secure Stripe Checkout session to enter payment details. Your pricing tier discount (if applicable) is applied automatically.

4

Access new features immediately

Once payment is confirmed, your new plan limits and features are active right away.

Prorated Upgrades

When upgrading mid-billing cycle, you'll only pay the difference for the remaining time. Stripe handles proration automatically.

5

Downgrading Your Plan

You can downgrade to a lower plan at any time. The downgrade takes effect at the end of your current billing period so you keep access to your current features until then.

1

Go to Settings → Billing

Navigate to your billing settings.

2

Select a lower plan

Choose the plan you want to downgrade to. You'll see a preview of what changes at the end of the billing period.

3

Confirm the downgrade

The downgrade is scheduled as a pending change. You can cancel this pending downgrade at any time before the billing period ends.

Resource Limits Apply Immediately

When the downgrade takes effect, your resource limits change to match the new plan. If you're over the limits (e.g., more than 5 clients on Free), you won't lose existing data, but you won't be able to create new items until you're within limits.

Downgrading to Free Revokes Founder/Beta Pricing

If you downgrade all the way to the Free plan, your Founder or Beta pricing tier is permanently revoked. If you later resubscribe, you'll pay the Standard price. This cannot be undone.

6

Cancellation

You can cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period — you keep full access until then.

1

Go to Settings → Billing

Navigate to your billing settings.

2

Click "Cancel Subscription"

Confirm that you want to cancel. Your subscription remains active until the end of the billing period.

3

Resume if you change your mind

Before the billing period ends, you can resume your canceled subscription to keep your plan and pricing tier.

Your Data Is Safe

Canceling your subscription does not delete your data. Your account reverts to the Free plan with its limits, but all your invoices, clients, projects, and history remain intact.

7
